I’ve been reading a ton lately (and blogging over at Alleskelle Blogs But Mostly Reads). However, a few reads haven’t made it to either blog. So here’s what’s slipped through the cracks…
Bedding the Wrong Brother – Virna DePaul – Three Stars – first book in a series and free right now! High on steam. Very sweet and easy read.
Naked in Death – I finally tried JD Robb (and hated it!) Roarke is so absolutely squick. However, I promised to read the first couple of books in the series, so I’ll be reading the second one soon.
Katie Ruggle – I devoured her first responder series – an absolutely perfect mix of steam, story and suspense. One of the books contained a hero who made my heart nearly burst from sheer happy. I cannot recommend this series enough for a fun solid read.
Pretty Face – Lucy Parker is just a dependable enjoyable author. If you haven’t given her a try you should.
Played – Jen Frederick – the last book in an athlete romance series that fired on all cylinders. I wasn’t blown away, but I did enjoy myself.
Drive – Kate Stewart – I hated the melodrama – emotions wrung from me make me resentful and distrustful. Also, the beginning felt desperate. Yuck.
The Hate You Give – Angie Thomas – 5 stars for an easy-to-read and thought-provoking story that I feel is incredibly important. Loved this one.
