I really enjoyed aspects of this book – the down to earth writing, the low drama, the characters who were quirky and developed.
However, I don’t know much about BDSM which created a lot of questions. Also, the book was short – it could have gone into some more detail.
Keira fangirls a dorky tv show. Daniel is a friend of a friend who goes with her to a Con. They click. However, Daniel is intensely into a BDSM community. Essentially this is the story of Keira and Daniel achieving some balance.
The BDSM stuff is light, but, for me, a bit awkward. And because I don’t know much about it I really couldn’t get a clear picture of what their respective roles meant to the two of them. The ending seemed a little neat – like things wrapped up in a way that involved Keira making decisions that she might not really have made.
Still, I liked the straight-forward writing. I loved the low drama. This was a totally different read for me – probably more interesting than enjoyable. But not a bad experience.
